Just finished watching all the released episodes of the new anime. I like it (thus far; we’ll see what they do later)! Kimbley looks kickass! And Envy has his dark hair! Not that god-awful, fern-looking green they gave him last time. *bounces*

The anime/manga bug is starting to bite again. Crap. Now I have Heroes, Tolkienverse, and Hagaren plus possible others all at once! It's too much! *runs around in circles*

Meanwhile, I have my first exam tomorrow and have studied too much for it. Next up will be the Politics exam which I've ironically studied too little for even though it's the one I've spent most time on.

Last night during my lightbulb deprivation, I watched this fan made film named The Hunt for Gollum. It's pretty decent, especially for something low-budget. The style is completely copied fom Peter Jackson, even down to the font they use for the credits, but I'm not complaining. There's a scene where Gollum starts singing and it's so cute!

My Tolkiennite side has been dormant for so long, allowing me to delve into other stuff like Heroes and POTC and the Aubrey/Maturin series, but now she's awake! Like the balrog in Khazadum. No instead of military takeovers I'm thinking of Feanor and Ents and what happened to Thranduil and his people during the Fourth Age. And looking at Milo pictures, but I'm weak.

I want to see the movies again so much. Maybe it's better that I don't have the books here, else I'd be waist deep in First Age lore by now. That is, if I didn't have this pesky exams. *goes back to rehashing the Bourbon Reforms yet again*

“My whole life has been spent engaged with friends in intellectual debate - like whether Kirk is tougher than Spock or if Middle Earth is a more difficult place to live than Tatooine.

Now see. Why can't this be the type of intellectual debate that I'll have to deal with in my exams? Why? I'd get such a better grade if they were on Middle Earth history rather than human rights, which is a little sad, but screw it.

Apparently diVide Pictures is going to a web series where they discuss such erudite fandom points such as who would win in a fight. Gandalf or Darth Vader. Which is silly because no way would a puny, little human who is only kept alive by machines ever have any hope of beating Gandalf. I mean, come on. Force or not, Maia! And a mighty powerful one at that. I think you can see which side I'm on in the LOTR vs. Star Wars debate, which is one I don't like to get into because it just runs around in circles and ultimately Tolkienverse has the most powerful villain anyway, so why bother? I'm a diehard Tolkienite and damn proud of it. *grin*

ETA: LJ has ads? Since when? I don't notice because of my lovely Adblocker thing, courtesy of Firefox. *hugs Forefox* That wasn't supposed to sound like an ad, but oh well.
