I did it again

I don't know what it is with me and leg injuries, but my body seems determined to get one at regular intervals for the most inane things. I wasn't even dancing properly. I just didn't want to sit down because my body is really sore from sitting down, so I'm now I'm forced to sit down and I understand what my grandfather felt like in the wheelchair. I'm not in a wheelchair. Although technically I am in a chair that has wheels, but I can still hop on one foot. The other foot has a huge bump on one side because apparently I ripped something when I twisted it and fell on the floor. Las time this happened, I dislocated it (that was the other ankle). Even though this time it didn't hurt as much, I think I would have preferred another simple dislocation to the weeks of recovery the keep telling me this is going to take. Last time, I was walking again as soon as they shoved the bone in. It was even part of the recovery process. I'm too restless to be stuck in a chair for this long. For the moment, I'm going to pretend as much as possible that's it's just a bruise because I can't handle injuries in other people without wanting to throw up, much less in myself since I can't get away.

This sucks. I dreamed about mountains last night. Beautiful green mountains and valleys and I was on a train, but before that I was climbing one (a mountain, not a train) and it felt so good. *glares at ankle*

*sigh*

I'm supposed to be working on my novel, but I think I'd rather either read [livejournal.com profile] lotus0kid's Anterior Talofibular Ligaments and You or work on my own injured Claude fic. Poor Claude. Why must we injure him so?

Oh, I'm so sorry. I hope you'll be able to rest it and have it tended to soon. *hug*

*hugs back* My grandmother has been acting as nurse for me (she's had plenty of experience with my grandfather) and bandaging it. we figure it's not broken since it doesn't anywhere near as much as when I dislocated the other ankle some years ago and I can put some weight on it. So it's okay, relatively speaking.
