Hee, Charlie Brown- must've been a subconscious thing. It's been proven that the human brain can think of something without realizing it's actually something it experienced before. There have been cases of plaigarism where the plaigarist genuinely thought he/she came up with something themselves.

Oh, it must be nice to have characters you can do what you want with. It's true that whatever you do has to work in the parameters of your story, but still.
