The birds are singing

It must be 2:30. AM. Yes, the birds in my neighborhood sing at 2 in the morning. I've never, ever heard one sing during the daytime here. But at night between 2:30 and 3 they're chatterboxes. It's like the roosters back home that almost exclusively crow after midnight.
