Snow is horrible.

Ths drive was horrible. The streets were horrible. The driver in front of me that kept breaking when that is the worst thing you can do other than taking a sharp turn in these conditions was horrible. Snow is a horrible, horrible thing.

On the good side, visibility was great. But everythig else sucked.

And for some backstabbing reason (why do I feel some god laughing at me?), some stupid car commercial just came on with a car driving in the snow saying "I love winter." Yes, the car said it. Because it's mocking me.

I'm sorry it was unpleasant, but at least you got there safely, right? See, silver lining!

Yeah. But there really needs to be more goodside in a day than, "Well, at least I'm not dead." Although I did see people. But yeesh, the road was horrible.

Yeah, I suppose "Well, at least I'm not dead" should just be the starting off point. But it's a good one. And tomorrow, you won't have to drive in it?

Well, the streets should be clear by the time I get out and the weather report just has scattered flurries, but the side streets are inundated with snow and I have to park in one of those. *sigh*

And apparently you all had an earthquake around there this morning, right?

So I hear, but I didn't feel anything. My cousin who lives here didn't either. His sisters did, though. It was at 4 in the morning. We were both too exhausted for that.

You made it! Awesome! Now you can talk about your epic battle with the elements when you go to your meet-up.

Honestly, by Chicago standards, it was normal. And visibility was pretty good, so it much better than I expected. Bad visibility is the real bitch. And it is February. This stuff is supposed to happen. It's pretty weird it hasn't happened more. When the organizer of the meetup said he wouldn't have blamed us for not going, we all went, "Hey, it's Chicago. The weather can throw anything at us and it's still not going to keep us home." Life goes on as normal no matter what. But it's still annoying as hell.

You have my greatest sympathies for all the snow. It's... everywhere.

Ugh. My cousin was out twice yesterday shoveling the snow until he couldn't take it anymore. And I had to dig out the car from under four inches of snow with this tiny thing because my grandparents do not own sensible equipment for some reason I do not understand.

Hey, what happened?

Snow makes everything look pretty, but it makes driving a pain in the ass. I live in upstate New York and we get FEET of snow. Not inches, but feet. I'm moving back to P.R. next month after living here for 2 years. I'm sick and tired of cold weather. :/
