Stuff
H & M owns my soul. I just shopped there three times today. I'm not kidding. Every time after I just paid for something, I saw something else I wanted. That store is just too damn wonderful.
I broke three nails today. What the hell? I hate having short nails. People ask me how I mange to do stuff with such long nails and I ask them how they manage without them. I've had long nails since fourth grade after like a year of moaning to my Mom to let me grow them. I always feel deficient without them.
I'm thinking the Heroes premiere has very bad timing, since I leave the day afterwards, so I'm going to be mired in suitcases and clothes and odd ends all over the place (I'm currently ripping CDs) and I'm sure I'm going to forget something and I'm going to have to get some sleep because I can't sleep on planes, but I know I'm going to be stuck on the internet discussing woes and possible (hopefully) brilliance (maybe) of the episode. I'm keeping my expectations low, which is my usual policy in these cases, though I admit that my hopes have risen more than I wanted them to because all the enthusiasm running around fandom is way to contagious even though I can't seem to get excited about the stuff they're squeeing about. What finally raised my spirits was that summary about episode four, which I won't repeat here because I don't feel like putting a spoiler cut. But it's exciting, so you can guess who's involved. ;)
...and my computer just ran out of battery. And didn't tell me, just went straight to hibernating. In the middle of ripping a CD. Nice.

Geez, I hate it when nails break. I can't have long nails - they always get in my way.
EEEE! I'm so excited for the premiere!! I know what you mean about wanting to keep expectations low, but I can never do it. I don't like knowing stuff ahead of time, so I never purposely look at spoilers, but I always manage to accidentally stumble across them anyway...

I actually find long nails incredibly useful for a lot of things, though I prefer not to use them to pry open things in case they break, though people ask me to do so all the time. I also type with my nails more than with the tips of my fingers. I actually have to relearn where the keys are when my middle finger nails break because I'm used to the extra extension and then it feels so weird.
Thankfully, I'm so busy with other stuff that I manage to mostly forget about, else I would be going completely nuts and running a countdown in my head, like I do. But every once in a while it creeps in and I get jumpy.
I do need to know stuff ahead of time. I notice that I can't get properly excited if I don't know anything because I don't have anything substantial to get excited about. It's a little hard to explain. Besides, I'm always much more interested in how something happened than what happened, so knowing the "what" gets me thinking about the "how", and thus I get more excited.

Oh, I can see how typing could kinda be easier. Interesting...
*nods* Same.
Nah, I get it. Makes sense. :)
