Wales is awesome, too. And England. And Ireland. I just love these islands so much. Maybe there's some British blood in me somewhere. Somewhere buried under all these Iberian surnames. Yes, I'm obsessed. I don't care. I just feel so good when I'm over here. I fell in love with Edinburgh the instant I exited the train station and saw it (Waverly station has a brilliant location). I'd post a picture of the vista I'm referring to, but I'm computer is still importing the 1423 pictures I took. I almost filled up the 2 GB card.

Have I mentioned that I love bagpipes? Cause I really do. Especially in rock music. Brilliant stuff. And kilts. Such a weakness for kilts. One of the sellers at a tourist shop was wearing one and he smiled at me and I almost bumped into a stand of stickers. I was too giddy to even feel embarrassed about it. I have CE in a kilt thoughts now.

Unfortunately, I must go pack before I collapse from exhaustion. I need sleep.

Yay, Scotland! You know what's awful? My first thought at the CE in a kilt possibility was, "Hey, he's playing Scottish in GI Joe! Maybe we'll get to see that!"

I hate that my brain keeps wanting me to be excited about GI Joe.

Glad you're having a good time!

*snort* I would love to see that, though it probably won't happen. But that would be brilliant.

Your brain? It's GI Joe. My brain is whimpering from the lameness, though those pictures I got at the con are cheering me up. I propped them up against the wall as soon as I got here just because. They relax me.

Also, apparently, in one of the pre-movie GNs that I guess Hasbro put out, there's scenes of the character he plays in v-neck sweaters and a leather jacket (!)

Well, my fangirl brain. Oh, I've had to pack mine away for when I move back to my apartment. My parents wouldn't understand ;)

Speaking of (http://meddow.livejournal.com/168309.html?#cutid1) pictures with a calming effect (http://community.livejournal.com/milo_fans/301864.html#cutid1). Or actually just the opposite, frankly.

in v-neck sweaters and a leather jacket

Heh heh. No why does that sound so familiar?

Oh, that's too bad. I may have to do that myself, because they are way too distracting. Kinky thoughts are not conducive to academic productivity.

I love how everyone is fangirling over the hair. Such lovely hair. Right, distracted again. Why can't my thesis be about smut instead of cannibalism?

I totally found said GN at work today and read over his section. Oh my god, it was awesome. I would totally watch a movie (without shame!) about Jame McCullen, Rogue Weapons Trader. Also, entirely hilariously and totally confirming my hypothesis that the artist was at least familiar with DW, the first panel of his section features a guy who looks just like DT and, standing right behind him, a chick that looks just like Martha Jones. It's freakin' hilarious, I might just buy it for that.

Kinky thoughts are very hard to parlay back into academic thought, it's true.

The hair is awesome. The shirt is awesome. The man is pretty darn awesome. *laughs* Cannibalism is also awesome? A bit? Not really.

Bagpipes in rock music are just awesome!

That you are having a great time in Scotland is just awesome! Hurrah vacations, hurrah!

It is. Especially with crags and a cloudy sky as a backdrop. Ah, Scotland. I got a disk of the Red Hot Chili Pipers and have been listening to it non stop since.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm back in Illinois now, so vacation is over, but it was amazing.

WHERE ARE ZEH PHOTOZ????

Glad you're having a great time!

You can always stay there for a PhD.....

From: [identity profile] guanin.livejournal.com

I know, I know, but I don't have time right now. Thesis, remember. Plus, I have 2000 of them. Going through them, picking the best ones, then posting them takes forever. I haven't looked at any of them yet, just emptied the memory cards and that's it.

Thanks. The thing about a PhD is, as much as I don't regret (or so I tell myself) the horrendous experience of uni this past year, I really do not want to do it again. I don't like writing essays. At all. It makes me cranky. The research is fine, but writing up an analysis in non fiction form is not my thing. I'd much rather write a novel about my findings.
