That's the second time I forget about the latest episode of True Blood because I'm stuck watching BSG. Last week, I didn't see episode 10 until Thursday. And now, even though I've downloaded the latest episode of True Blood, I want to keep watching BSG. *headdesk*

Small Heroes question. How old is Nathan in 2006? I confess that I've never had any clue and I might or might not use it in a story.

*snort* He went from "hair in your eyes" to poster boy of emoness. Claude should definitely be able to right that ship.

It was a good thing for his character to start from scratch and at least now he can sample different powers, so he's not tied to one, either. But I miss invisible Peter. Claude needs to show up so they can be invisible together. Claude might survive if he formed other relationships like that, but it would still be incredibly sad. Yes, it is best if we don't depress everyone else with this kind of fic. We'd have crying all over the place.

Hee. It's true; for all that they were called "the emo-bangs", Peter really wasn't all that emo when he had them. But future Peter was really just missing the dark eyeliner; he had the long dark coat and greasy hair and everything. Claude would mock him for it; when he went through his dark nights of the soul, he did it quietly and invisibly, and when he was going anti-authoritarian to save specials, he was also a hell of a lot more subtle and efficient at it. But then again, he is English.

Seriously, I miss that one little hint we get that Peter is thinking about Claude or at least still remembers him. I still cross my fingers for an on-air mention. Poor Claude doesn't deserve to lose anyone else; he's been through too much already and it's hard enough for him as it is to form attachments. There would be much tearing at hair and rending of garments were we to write this kind of thing out, though, as achingly romantic as it would be.

dark nights of the soul

That phrase made me laugh. Now I have cracky thoughts of a future emo Peter scribbling his autobiography and using that as a title.

An on-air mention would be wonderful, some tangible proof that Claude is in Peter's thoughts. I'm imagining those professional mourners now with the wailing and tragic "nooo"s. Best not.

*laughs* God, I don't even know where that turn of phrase came from, but it's just one of those things that I picked up somewhere and use a lot. And yes, that is totally the title of emo!Peter's memoir. Or he goes all Rorschach about it and just keeps a journal.

Is it really too much to ask? We got a GN mention of Peter from Claude, it wouldn't be stretch. Heee. People rubbing ashes into their hair and all that.

Oh, no! Not the Rorschach route! That's all poor Peter needs.

It can't be that hard to work an "I miss Claude" or something like into a conversation. Or he could be reminiscing to himself. Which he probably does anyway.

*snickers* I know Claude and Rorschach seem to have a couple of things in common, while Peter and Don certainly have their own similarities, but picture Peter moping around with a mask and an ascot and a gravely voice is just too damn funny not to dwell on. I'm feeling so silly right now.

Or baring that, because why would they give into the most delicious subtext of all, at least a reference to his being invisible, or his training, or his yummy accent...anything, really. But no, Peter has to keep those reminiscence to himself.

That is absolutely hilarious. Oh, the crack.

Darn you, Peter. This is not the time to repress your feelings. Let them fly!

Hee. I remember thinking that it was possible Claude was a bit of a fan of Watchmen and might have even read it during its original run as actual comic book installments; he and Alan Moore have a few things in common, and not just the beards. But Peter probably wouldn't be.

*laughs* Were Peter to let his feelings fly at this point, he'd explode again; between Claude, Simone, Caitlin, and Adam, well...and that's ignoring the whole Nathan deal.

From: [identity profile] guanin.livejournal.com

He probably would be. Heroes betrayed by autocratic figures, the world shown as bleak and flawed. But Peter is optimistic for that. He wants everyone to be happy.

True, poor guy. Either that or break down into tears and never stop. *hugs him*

He'd read the GN and watch the movie and appreciate that it was good, but be very discomfited by it without really knowing why. He wouldn't know what to make of the end, for one. Maybe he'd like the movie more; it ends on a bit of a better note.

*sigh* Poor baby is so screwed.
