Unfortunately, so are the ants, which is why I now have my toothbrush in a neat, little ziplock bag. It's a new toothbrush, too, as my previous one kept getting ants crawling all over it, which is a little icky. Then again, I've eaten cereal that needed to have ants shooed out of, so not that icky (Ant infestations are the order of the day in PR; being squeamish about it is impossible).

I am still obsessed with football and will continue to be so for the near future as I am now finally starting to read up on the European football leagues (soon to follow: Latin American leagues). There are no World Cup games today. None tomorrow, either. I don't know if I can take it. It's too much. Withdrawal is setting in.

And now I've decided to be totally foolhardy and started reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels because I'm tired of people referring to the books and not knowing what they're talking about. And I always make an effort to look at the original source material whenever possible, so I couldn't resist since I have my shiny, new library card. Yay! I've never had a public library card before. If there's a public library in PR, I've never heard of it. It's so wonderful! Albeit tiny and not at all the Chicago Public Library, which is enormous and has so many books I need to look at, but I'm nowhere near a Chicago resident, so no luck there. And it's downtown, so stopping by to read the books there isn't a viable prospect, either.

Anyway... The point is I'm back on LJ again. Yeah.

Yay, welcome back to LJ! :)

Ugh, I hate when the ants come back and get everywhere. Though at least here they're mostly just in the kitchen. In my Spain apartment they were all over the bathroom. *shudders* That ziplock bag is a good idea. I just started keeping my toothbrush on my dresser... In cereal?! omg.

Yay!! I love the Sookie Stackhouse series! What do you think of it so far?

It was the sugary cereal, which must always be kept in plastic containers due to said ants. They're everywhere. There's no stopping them. It's very irritating.

I've read all of them except the last one, which is checked out from the library :( They're extremely hard to put down. I'm not a big fan of Sookie herself (I like her much more in the tv series), and it's a tad silly at times, but it's highly amusing and I can't get enough of the Eric scenes. Alan Ball really did find the perfect actor for him in Alexander SkarsgÄrd.

Wow, how fast did you read them? I'm still on the 9th book, but I've already bought the 10th book because I don't want to have to wait to check it out from the library. :P I know what you mean - I couldn't stop reading once I started! I think I got through the first 8 books in like 2 weeks, but I had to stop in the middle of the 9th book b/c of finals, and I haven't gotten back to it yet. Really? I like Sookie way more in the book. But I do like her in the show too, most of the time. Yeah, it is kind of silly sometimes :P I love Eric! Before I read the books I didn't really understand the obsession people had with him, but now, definitely ;)

Um... Four days, maybe? I'm at home all day, so it's easier to procrastinate with the stuff I have to do. I also get way too compulsive with these things and find it impossible to put the books down. I finally got the last book from the library, so now I'm done. I've liked Eric since the beginning (and not just due to shallowness because the actor is gorgeous... not completely), but it wasn't until season 2 that I grew completely obsessed with him.

Seriously?? Dang that's fast. But I totally know what you mean, and I love books that are impossible to put down. :)
