One of my absolute favorite scenes is in THOB when Sherlock shows up drenched in blood carrying a harpoon. All I can think about every time I see it is him in the tube with everyone staring at him with WTF expressions, but not actually saying anything because you don't do that. It makes me laugh every time.

I seem to remember at least five different fanart pieces depicting exactly this scenario back in the day, but hell if I can find them now..

me too! :D also you have to wonder how he got so covered in blood harpooning a DEAD pig, since usually the first thing done to an animal carcass, is to drain all the blood out of it.

It is so likely that someone on that set said, "Hopefully people won't notice." Seriously, so many of these things, they know are inacurrate, but really hoping that no one notices. The visual of Sherlock covered in blood with a harpoon is just too good for them to bother with reality.
