I can't believe I didn't take a picture of him. He was puppy size yet not a puppy and might have been a mini daschund, all tan colored like a golden retriever. And he was so well behaved! The whole time he was in the house, he only barked once. He belongs to one of my cousins (or maybe nephew, because apparently his mom is my cousin, whatever), who came over with his folks for my grandfather’s birthday. We went to a restaurant to eat and yes, the dog came with us. We couldn't just leave him in the car. He's too cute. Someone might steal him. So my cousin stuffed him in his backpack with his head sticking out, which apparently he does all the time to take him to class and it was the most adorable thing ever. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of that. I can't believe no one noticed the little doggy head sticking out as we rushed to our table. One of the waitresses did notice, though, because at some point during the meal, she leaned down, frowning at the chair where my cousin hid the dog, and straighten up with this "huh" look on her face, but she didn't say anything. The dog never made a peep. He did get out of the bag once, but my cousin snatched him up quickly, so no damage done. He really was the sweetest thing. I want one.
