Title: Love's Sorrow
Word Count: 200
Rating: G
Summary: What possible meaning can he derive from a love that can never be returned?
Disclaimer: I own nothing but my own words.
I love you. Two words engraved in the crimson of Hiro’s heart. Two little sounds that mean everything yet at the same time nothing. What possible meaning can he derive from a love that can never be returned? He doesn’t say them, afraid to trust them even to silence of his solitude. Having them exist at all is already too much to bear.
Only once do they slip from his tongue, a faint exhalation, hardly audible even to his own ears. The moon is in her zenith and in the coldness of the grove the stars are the only witness to his sorrow.
Footsteps sound at his back. He turns, terrified to see Kensei approaching him, a questioning look on his face.
“Are you all right?”
Hiro nods, struggling to keep his breath from scattering all over the place. Kensei regards him with a slightly amused expression, perfectly curved smile glinting on his lips.
“Let’s go back to the camp, then.”
Hiro forces a smile on his face; it aches like a grimace. He shuffles past him, his head lowered, eyes desperately fixed on the ground before him. The words burn on his tongue, but he can’t say them. Ever.

Seriously, when V3 rolls around I'm gonna break the fourth wall and FORCE Hiro to dig Adam up while I dump 10th Wifey in the Marianna Trench!

I'll join you in your mission. If they throw a wife into the equation, I'm officially going AU.
Thank you so much for your comment!

I thinks so, too, but this season has had so many senseless het love interets already, that I really can't stomach another one.

I'm picturing Adam/10th Wifey as Sark/Lauren type thing ...

Lauren was Vaughn's (Sydney's love interest) wife when Sydney reutrned after going missing for three years (I think) and Sark is this wonderfully sexy evil cute David Anders and Sark and Lauren (who's also evil) hook up.
It's DIVINE.
