Taken from here:

  • The shooter of Nathan Petrelli from last season was revealed - Peter Petrelli from the future.
  • Nathan is revived… and has a vision from God. Believing he’s an angel on God’s mission, he is set up to be some sort of religious zealot in subsequent episodes.
  • Sylar corners Claire in her house. Despite hitting Sylar over the head and stabbing him, she’s caught. In a scene that drew gasps and revulsion from the audience, we see Sylar probing her brain as she twitches on a table. Claire, who is conscious, asks, “Are you going to eat it?” Sylar responds, “Eat your brain? Claire, that’s disgusting.” He then steals her invulnerability, then puts her skull cap with the hair back on her head (to more groans). I think someone in the audience got sick after seeing the scene.
  • Suresh develops a serum to give humans powers and injects himself, thus giving him super strength.
  • Hiro takes over his father’s company and discovers a secret formula in his father’s safe… which is promptly stolen by a new speedster character. When Hiro travels to the future to see the results, he sees his future self confronting Ando over the formula… then Ando shocking him with a red bolt of electricity.
  • HRG is shown in a prison cell while Nikki is shown as the mistress of a Governor.
  • Parkman discovers Peter shot his brother, but Peter then zaps him into a far away desert.

Am I the only one who finds this incredibly stupid? Seriously, there's so much epic fail in this thing that I have no words. Any hope I might have had has now been pulverized.

politico-religious fanatic to just one step.

Poor Claire.
the famous scene of the desert.

What will happen to Adam?. that is not even mentioned.
Adam will be jealous of the new blonde, because they will fence at Hiro.

I know that I have never commented on anything, but I love the way they write Kiro, and the fact less.

I...get the feeling these are false spoilers. Got to be. It's opposite day or something. No, seriously. The only semi plausible one is the Peter-from-the-future as the shooter, because it's just that kind of twist, but the rest? I'd bet against it.

The whole time I was reading this, I kept thinking: "This has to be a gag." It's just too atrocious. I also think that Peter shooting Nathan is the only one that might make sense, but they'd need an extremely good explanation for it. I'm really hoping that it is false. (And why is there never any mention of Adam?)

From: [identity profile] visiblemarket.livejournal.com

Well, I know for sure(ish) that Adam's coming back so I'm not too worried. And yet...yeesh. The Sylar eating Claire's brain stuff, isn't going to be shown just because of the timeslot; the Nathan-becoming-ultra-religious might be problematic (will be problematic) with sponsors, especially on a major network. Given the drop in viewership between first season and second, I'm pretty sure the network's not going to be giving free rein to do really questionable storylines and those...are really questionable storylines.

So I keep telling myself anyway. Jeez, Tim Kring. Do this, and I will...really want to fucking kill you. How will you get CE back with this shit?

From: [identity profile] guanin.livejournal.com

Unfortunately, it looks like it might be true. There's too many different accounts of the premiere in Comic Con saying the exact, same thing. And they sound really excited about the whole thing, which I really, really don't get (although one of them does find the Mohinder thing stupid). And I hate that they're bringing so many supposedly dead characters back. For me, that plot device should be used very sparingly, like once every two seasons. Else it just looks cheap, but this is Tim Kring, after all.

The only thing that's going to make me stick through this disaster is fandom, because I really love this fandom and the people in it. Because the canon is sucking real bad.

Well, there goes any hope I had of this show redeeming itself.

Seriously, Peter as the shooter doesn't surprise me at all (I suspected it was him last year; think I even might have mentioned it in one of my many rants). It is mildly irritating but not a deal breaker.

But Nathan as a *religious zealot?* Makes me want to gag. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?

The Sylar and Claire thing....ew. And what's more, I can't see Quinto delivering the lines in a way that doesn't seem hilarious. Again, the Joker has completely spoiled me on villians.

Hiro takes over his father’s company and discovers a secret formula in his father’s safe… which is promptly stolen by a new speedster character. When Hiro travels to the future to see the results, he sees his future self confronting Ando over the formula… then Ando shocking him with a red bolt of electricity.

Oh, for fucks sake. ::headdesk::

Nikki is shown as the mistress of a Governor.
Wow, another great female role. Fuck you, Kring.

This whole thing is so stupid on so many levels. And what shocks me more is that so many people love these ideas. How? Just... how?

But Nathan as a *religious zealot?

I know. The couldn't have picked a worse character for that role, added to the fact that any mention of religious fanaticism automatically pisses me off.

I think that even without superpowers, the Joker could still best anyone on this show. He's that amazing.

Kring just loves to take our favorite character dynamics and blow them all to hell. And what the fuck is it with regular humans getting superpowers? Is everyone going to have superpowers now, because that would be so idiotic.

Nikki has no self-esteem, apparently. I hoped she'd finally learn to assert herself after she came into her own at the end of S 1, but no. they had to keep her all unsure and naive. I'm really getting tired of the flatness of female characters in the media.
