And I have no plans. This in itself isn't odd because I never have plans, but I always really wish I did. I don't know if any of my classmates have any plans since everyone is so busy with the essays, but it's Halloween! I should go out! Do something! It's so lonely being in this room all the time. I wish I'd brought Sleepy Hollow so I could at least watch that, although I really don't have time, anyway, but it's my Halloween movie, you know? I hear that my friends back home are going to get together to watch The Exorcist. I don't mind, obviously, but I've sent one of them two messages on Facebook in a week and she hasn't replied though she has to other people afterwards. I don't want to think that she's ignoring me, but there's nothing else I can think of. I wish I didn't depend so much on people communicating with me, but I think that since I spent so many years friendless, now I'm paranoid of losing any even if I'm being irrational about it. I really want this first essay period to be over so I can go out again and... I don't know. Learn how to meet people.

Ouch, I hate that in-between time before people finally get back to you about stuff. Well, if you don't end up going anywhere, a quiet Halloween's nothing to sniff at. Maybe you can head to the movie store and pick up a copy of Sleepy Hollow, or something scary you haven't seen yet.

I'd get it if she hadn't gotten on Facenook at all, but she's been replying to a bunch of people after I messaged her, so I don't get why she hasn't answered. And she's supposed to be one of my best friends, which makes it extra weird and uncomfortable.

I really wish I could buy a movie, but unless there's someplace that I can get Region 1 DVDs in London that won't kill my bank account, I can't. The ironic/exasperating thing is that unlike most else, you can get some really cheap DVDs here. But they're region 2. When my laptop is Region 1. And I am not risking the region switcheroo.

I have no plans for Halloween either. But it's okay really because I have 3 or 4 projects and I absolutly have no time for Halloween.
I wonder if British people always celebrated Halloween. I know in Russia we didn't. When I moved to Canada with my family I was surprised that there were people who gave away candy. So halloween is not part of my culture.

Hum, did you try to call your friend and ask?
I heard there was an expo in London! We never get things like that were I live.

I do have a ton of work to do, but Halloween to me is like sacred. I always through work aside and take a mini vacation to watch Halloween movies and stuff. It's always been a big deal for me since I'm a big horror fan.

It's not a big deal here, apparently, which I find very disappointing, since it was originally a Celtic festivity. Though Halloween in its current embodiment is very modern US.

Nah. I know that if I call, we'll stay talking for at least an hour since it's been so long and I can't afford that. Plus, I hate getting confrontational on the phone.

Well, there's everything in London. I'm still overwhelmed sometimes by the wealth of activities taking place all the time.
