I've been watching this thing step by step for the last 6 hours. It's now 4:30 in the morning and I have class tomoroow but I'm too wired to go to sleep because OBAMA WON THE ELECTION. THIS IS ONE OF THE COOLEST THINGS EVER! All of Europe is cheering right now along with the Democrats in the US, fyi.

I don't know how I'm going to fall asleep now. I'm bouncing in the chair. Obama=president. Yes!!!

A few weeks ago I was absolutely in despair. But it all fell into place. It was the right time.

Me, too. I was freaking out last night that it might not happen, but finally it did. Everyone here is so happy right now.

It's five in the morning and I don't want to go to bed because I'm still celebrating.

How jazzed are all those people in Chicago right now? I can't even imagine.

We were watching clips of Grant Park earlier and people were ecstatic. I really wish I could have been there. CNN was actually guessing 1 million in attendance, which I think is a little crazy, but the size of the crowd is insane.

I'm watching him speak right now, and it's just...amazing. I wouldn't be surprised about it being 1 million.

YAY! I know we'll be celebrating this in class tomorrow.

Well, that was interesting. Obama won but I was kind of expecting it.

I just hope that people won't expect miraculous changes right away. The new president will have a lot of hardships and people expect him to bring the country back to its feet. I do hope he succedes but it won't be easy.

I was watching the news and the they were saying something like that:
"Everybody is happy and celebrating in Europe except Russia because..." . Sounds like Russians alright. I'll read about that later after. Politics are so complicated.

DUDE I TOTALLY CRIED I WAS SO HAPPY. SO. HAPPY.

I was giggly for two hours. I ended up going to bed at six in the morning because I was celebrating with people.

I wasn't as optimistic this time because four years ago, I expected Bush to lose and he didn't.

I don't expect a miracle, just a shift from the Republican agenda. Latinos are very skeptical about politicians. We don't understand the US notion of "trusting" politicians. For me that is so stupid. When people in the US felt betrayed by Bush after the truth came out about his lies and the truth about Iraq, people in Mexico were shaking their heads because we know better. Our experience is corruption and deception and looking for the lesser evil. When Fox won in Mexico in 2000 finally breaking 71 years of the PRI party rule, we were celebrating because we were finally able to break through PRI domination, not because Fox was supposed to be a good president.

Europe is so totally happy. ^_^

Everyone in Ireland is dancing anyway. School = Buzz. Every class was spent going "MISS/SIR! OBAMA WON!! YAYYYY!!!!" and then a big happy chat followed and practically every class today was uber dossy.

Fun fun. *thumbs up*

I knew that Europe was watching the US elections closely, but I honestly didn't know the scope of it before coming here. It's so freaking cool.

By the way, that quote in your icon is one of my favorite adam quotes ever. Hiro is more important than his conscience. Hee.

Yeah. Although I was very upset when our CSPE (Civics) teacher called Obama a republican. And then I had this big argument with her about how he was a democrat and stuff.

Silly woman.

And yeahh, as for the quote, it's the only icon I have uploaded to my LJ given I'm far too lazy to upload other ones.. xD Lazy lazy me.

It is definitely one of the coolest quotes ever. Bwa ha ha.

She though what?! *gasp* Honestly.

Hey, you uploaded another one. Yay you. I used to have a golden retriever. She died a few years ago from old age.

From: [identity profile] mawrrr.livejournal.com

I know! Silly, silly woman.

And I did. xD You mentioning it made me decide I'd put up a different one. That's Noah, our younger of two. Despite being bigger than our six year old, he still acts like such a puppy - he's never growled once and he gets scared if the older one starts barking at something.

Aww. We've been through a couple of dogs, although the last golden retriever we had was when I was like 3 so I don't exactly remember him. Got Cooper and Noah now though. ^_^
