I love this line! It's half-canon because Peter always looked up to Nathan; always respected him. Well, at least in the earlier seasons he did. d: Now, the non-canon half of that line -- I love how Peter was seeking comfort from Sylar.
Man, there are seriously not enough Peter/Sylar fics, whether it's slash or gen -- there's not nearly enough. ):
