I just saw it on my flist. I have to keep better track of these things. Anyway, happy birthday Chris, wherever you are! Now I feel obligated to watch a CE movie/show. I have to.
ETA: I just noticed that the Heroes people kept CE's birth year and month for Claude's birthday, but changed the day by two weeks. Huh.

Oh, hey, how wonderfully appropriate if Claude came back on the Heroes episode tonight? *sigh* Ships that pass in the night...

That would be so beautiful! We can dream.

Yeah, that fic. It's no more than an urge and a few lines of dialogue at the moment, but I really want to do something with it. It's a challenge, you know? Plus, I've never written Reaper fic before.

Mmm, well, I can't say I ever would have considered it before you mentioned it, but since you did...it's interesting. And hey, there's nothing wrong with a fic that's just about satisfying an urge and made up of a few lines of dialogue.

Me, neither. But I watched the first half of The Second Coming teh other day and I've been watching Reaper this weekend and then the parallel of "the son of God" and "the son of the Devil" (not that we have confirmation for the second one, but I'm running with it) struck me. I'm trying to get a proper bunny now. Maybe Steve landed in the Reapers' neck of the woods sometime in those 40ish days he was gone.

Hee. I think there's potential for a hilarious and random and potentially blasphemous "Temptation of Christ" parallel story involving Steve being just Steve and Sam not entirely realizing he's tempting anyone. Maybe that just makes sense in my head.

Mmm. That sounds neat. Though I'm not usually a good hand at the humor, though I do manage it on occasion. I'll have to give it a think tonight. So much for concentrating on the epic, but I am working on it every day.

I would write it myself but I think it would require a lot more Catholic Dogma use than I'm comfortable bringing out. That's the trouble I always have with Reaper fic, I tend to get all thinky about...my time as a good Catholic girl and it never ends well. *cough* Anyway! Yes, fics ideas just have that tendency to grab onto you and not let you do anything else sometimes.

I never was a good Catholic girl, really, even when I knew all the prayers by heart, and now I'm not Christian at all, so I have no problem with writing the blasphemy. Hell, I like The Last Temptation of Christ.

I wouldn't have a problem with it for blasphemous reasons, I'd just feel awkward...bringing up certain aspects. Religion's just one of those things I try to steer away from in fandom, but Reaper tends to bring it all up.

But Reaper's so silly with it. It doesn't come up as often, though, at least compared to Good Omens.

Yeah, it's a very Dogma-like approach. I love that about that show.

Not surprising considering that Kevin Smith is a consultant.

No, not surprising at all.
