It feels so different. So light and full of hope and potential. In that second shot of Peter, when he wakes up from his dream and a bus pulls up next to him, Nathan's photo smiling on the side, he grins, this innocent, happy smile. He's so delighted to see him.

Then it all goes to shit.

*sigh*

Right. Just felt like making that observation for some reason.

I've mentioned it before, but his scenes with Angela in that episode are among the most adorable Peter moments for me. He's just so sweet! With the taking care of her and the forehead touching and the snarking about the socks.

Aw, he's so cut in those scenes! As soon as he comes in he kisses her and holds her hand while Nathan's bitching about his fragile reputation. I love when he kicks Nathan out of the room. He's such a good son, so caring and sensitive.

Seriously. No one in that family really deserves how good a kid Peter is.

I know what you mean, that show has changed so much. I could deal with how Nathan kept going back and forth between good and evil, but this latest storyline with him hypocritically hunting down his own kind is really pissing me off. I do wanna see where they plan to go with it, though...

I was actually liking Nathan for a while there when he seemed to have gotten his head on straight (I didn't care for him much in season 1; too smarmy and disdainful of Peter), but now... The hypocrisy is annoying the hell out of me. And it's a complete 180 from his previous stance. First he wants to give a whole bunch of people abilities. Now he wants to get rid of all the specials. Talk about fickle.

There are interesting political ramifications, though, and I am really liking this volumes so far, but I'd like to get a clearer look at his motivations for this.

Where did he come from? Peter doesn't fit in this family at all. It's like some alien implanted him in Angela's womb or something.

Seriously, that poor boy. He's been depending on his family his entire life, only minorly rebelling by becoming a nurse insteaded of- what was it? A lawyer? Anyway, now his mother, father, and brother have betrayed him- he has no one left! Although, it's been pointed out to me that he's still friendly with Angela, which makes him a better person than I would be in a similar situation.

I'm telling you, the kid was raised by the help. Which is probably better for him in the long run.

I think if he's at least become a doctor Arthur might have respected him, but a nurse? That's too deviant for his small mind to process.

He's such a mama's boy. I suspect that's why it's harder for him to cut his ties with her. I really hope that she doesn't screw him over again, though if he does continue to trust her at some level.
