I keep getting stuck trying to figure out what kind of flame on a gas stove equals Low, Med, or High on the dial of an electric one. There are some gas stoves that say that, too, but not the one at my house. I never pay attention to its position, either. I just gauge the flame. Now that I'm stuck with an electric stove for the summer, I wonder, "Was that a medium flame I used to cook the fish? A low flame? A med-low flame?" I just don't know! It either takes me forever to cook things, or I burn them. Yay. The ironic thing is, this is the stove I first cooked on when I was little, but that was so long ago. I don't remember anything. Then the coils make these noises as the metal expands and contracts and I wonder if there's something wrong with it cause I am capable of damaging anything without knowing it. *shakes head at self*
