I'm seriously considering not going back to London in August. Seriously. Plane fare is like $800 from London to Chicago roundtrip. Doing that twice given my total lack of job at the moment and the horrendous economy (and zero job experience), makes that cost a little extravagant. besides, I don't think I can handle the pressure of writing up this thesis without a steady stream of human contact, and everyone I know in London is going to be in the same boat. It's going to be the same deal I've been hearing all year. Can’t go out; too busy. I'm cracking up after spending only one week in the house here on my own. And I'm fine staying in a place by myself. But not when the few friends I have left here are too busy with school or are out of the country. Why do our schedules never match up?
So. I'm still going traveling around Europe, but now the trips might need to be crammed into two weeks at the beginning of July. And I have no idea if I can fit all I have in three suitcases. Then I'd have to convince the airport people to let me carry three suitcases, because for some reason backpacks don't count as personal items. It is a computer bag, though, not a regular backpack. That is personal items. It just happens to be a different type that the kind most people use.

Heh, my social life is going to become so boring when I go back for grad school. I won't be living on campus like I did as an undergrad, so I won't be involved in the crazy number of clubs and activities I did then. Maybe it'll actually help me get some work done! (Then again, maybe not...Sadly enough, it probably all depends on how good the wireless is in my apartment. The better the internet is, the less productive I am!)

You will need internet just to keep yourself sane. I'm getting tired of the amount of people telling me to enjoy college while I can because when I get a job I won't have time for anything. Obviously, they mean the BA, not the Masters. Time? What time? I actually want a job. How messed up is that?
