You know how writers go through periods of alternate splendor (or so I hope) and mediocrity? I hate that. It makes no sense. Not that I should wonder, at this stage in my life. It's things making sense that stand out as odd. But from one day to the next. From one hour to the next? Once, I started out writing really sloppy sentences. They just wouldn't come out right, then as I was writing, suddenly something shifted and wonderful stuff started coming out. Then it went away again. Why can't I stay with the wonderfulness all the time?

In other news, I finally saw the third Ice Age movie. Two and a half times. That thing is hilarious. Cute baby dinosaurs. A deranged weasel. Mad laughter. Peril galore. And Sid being Sid: goofy, foolish, not very smart, but the result is great stuff.

ETA: I took a peek at the Doctor Who episode that's on TV right now, but it's that weeping angels one. I am not watching that again. That thing really scared me!

I never really got into the Ice Age movies; I know I saw the first one, and maybe the second (I can't remember), and they just never really amused me. You know what Arctic-themed movie I did love, though? Happy Feet. :D

Also, I love "Blink"! It didn't really scare me that much the first time I saw it, although it does always have that lingering creepy factor whenever I watch it. It's just so well done- from the acting of Sally Sparrow and the guy she ends up with, to the way they fit all the pieces of the story together. Love it.

Really? I loved the first one, was a little 'eh' on the second one, and loved the third one again. I haven't seen happy Happy Feet, so I don't know about that one. Blink I haven't heard of.

Oops. I thought it was a movie for some reason. I didn't recognize the name Sally Sparrow because I will not watch it again no matter how great it is. I do find it very scary and I hate being scared. I can't even dwell on it for too long. I never thought I'd be scared by a Doctor Who episode. My cousin wouldn't watch the Family of Blood because the scarecrows creeped him out. That one I didn't find scary, though.

I kind of had the opposite reaction to "Blink". Everyone who had seen the episode said it was OMG the scariest thing ever, so when I watched it I was thinking it was going to seriously freak me out. And then it didn't turn out to be that scary to me. Go figure.

Yeah...it's weird how that happens...

I haven't seen the 2nd or 3rd Ice Age movies, but I loved the first one! :)

Oh, Blink is one of my fave Doctor Who eps!! It freaked me out the first time I saw it (alone in the dorm room), and it still scares me, but it's just SO well done! I love it! :D

It drives me batty. It's like my own mind is betraying me or something.

I didn't think the 2nd one was as good as the first one, but the third one was so funny. It has baby t-rex's! And they're cute.

Oh! Blink is the name of the episode! *headdesk* I only know the names of season 1 because I have the DVD's. It is excellent, but that's why I can't watch again. It's too effective. It's like a horror movie and I don't like horror movies because I hate being scared. I couldn't even think of statues for a week after watching that.
