I do not understand why my grandparents don't understand why I'm afraid of bugs. I was raised by a bug-phobic soceity, what do you expect? Centipedes are invading the basement and no one seems to care. My cousin is not afraid of bugs and my grandparents are all "well, I've never seen any." Never mind that they don't notice a lot of obvious things anymore. Not that the unspeakable things are wriggling everywhere, but I almost stepped on one a few days ago. I dont care that it fled. That "It's more afraid of you than you are of it" does not work. The fear is equally mutual.

I'm also kind of a huge sap because I hate killing them, but I can understand why others would. This is less relevant to the issue at hand, but it is relevant to Life, in general. (http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/06/this-is-why-ill-never-be-adult.html)

I'm also afraid of bugs. Mostly because of the incident I had in June wherein I ended up in the emergency room after something I still don't know what bit or stung me.
