I watched the first movie and I liked it ok. I'm not a big marvel fan in general, i don't go to most of them, but I had heard enough about how "this one is different" that I wanted to give it a try. I especially liked that Dr Strange DOESN'T "solve problems by killing people/blowing shit up". That was cool. I am SO BORED with the blowing shit up stories. If I feel I have to watch one of those I wait for it on dvd at the library so I can knit during the boring battle scenes, or fast forward through them. Anyway, it's also a plus of course that BC is Dr Strange, yum, but again I'm not really in that fandom on a recurring kind of basis. Is there a second movie coming up or something?
There are making a second movie at some point. I am a big Marvel fan, although not of all the movies. I was actually not into the action scenes in this movie. I kept thinking I was watching Inception. But the draw of the universe for me are the characters. I really loved it when Stephen brought up his Hypocratic oath. That was a nice change of pace.
Like Sarah, I think the plot/problem/issues not being solved by simply killing/blowing up the bad guys was nice, but like you, I agree that the.. reality bending? type of action scenes also weren't really my taste.

Yup. I'm really looking forward to the sequel now. I watched ths movie twice in a row because I love him so much. I hope I can enjoy the action scenes in it more, although they will probably be similar.
