So my computer has decided to be a bitch

I rightclicked on an icon on my taskbar to quit a program and now both taskbar and desktop icons have disappeared. And the Start menu won't work. And every solution the built in Help menu gives me requires using the Start menu, which is precisely what isn't working, so how the fuck am I supposed to use it? Everything else is working fine after I was finally able to get to it by sticking in a USB drive and following the prompt to open the menu. Also, one of my USB drives is gone. Disappeared. I've torn the room apart and I can't find it. It has to be in this room. I haven't taken it with me at any point, but it's simply not here. What the fuck?!

Why must everybody be stupid?

I've been e-mailing back and forth with the computer people all day about this latest computer bullshit and they keep ignoring the fact that the Start key doesn't work even though I've said it three times. They keep asking me to restart the computer, which I would have done ages ago if I could do so, but I can't unless there's some way that doesn't involve the Start menu, which there better be, because I hope the Windows people weren't that stupid as to not know that there are times when it doesn't work. It's happened to me before. Not this exact problem, but yes.
