Then I could have an excuse to talk to the cute guy at the reception desk. He's not there most of the time, though he does tend to be there parts of the weekdays. He said "Hi". He's never done that before. And he smiled. Twice. I smiled back, but I think he ducked his head too quickly. I've spoken to him once, now that I remember, but that was the first day I was here because I couldn't find the pillow in my room, but that was so long ago. He didn't smile then. I'm getting the impression that two of the gals at my course are right (one's from Colorado and has been here five years; the other's from Greece). Many people (especially the guys somehow) seem really shy. Of course, coming from me who flees humans half the time, I have no right to judge, but another guy tuned away from me in the lift today. What the hell? That never happens back home. Must conspire to talk to reception guy. He looks around my age, too.
