I have chosen one of the Aztec gods as the topic for one of my essays, a choice I am now regretting because I set my own due date for Monday to finish this and I'm barely beginning to familiarize myself with the primary sources and there are so many of them and I don't know if I can come up with enough material for 2500 words (this essay is shorter than the others since it's at a different unii. Ha!) I'm probably just panicking unnecessarily again. I do that. It's just because I have no idea what to do the third essay on because I have no prior knowledge of anything that's going on in that class and I still haven't done the readings for this week. College is fun! *erupts in hysterical laughter*

Right. I've decided not to watch Heroes 3x7 today. Instead, I shall read chap 88 of Hagaren (I can't believe I missed it again) and watch Dexter, which is sooo much better than Heroes and may just be one of my favorite shows ever, along with Deadwood and The Wire. Showtime and HBO have me spoiled for regular network television.

ETA: HAGaREN IS THE BEST MANGA EVER! That was just... so fucking amazing. Arakawa Hiromu, I love you!

Deadwood was, without any exaggeration, fucking awesome. What a fucking awesome cocksucker of a show.

From: [identity profile] guanin.livejournal.com

It sure as hell fucking was. I really fucking hope Costco has the DVDs cheap this Christmas.

That fucker big-box retailer had better - what sort of cocksucker general store wouldn't sell some of the fucking best TV writing ever?

From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/midnightdream__/

Just a note - didn't watch Heroes either! I felt proud of myself, even just as one person, making a stand against them *crosses arms*

From: [identity profile] guanin.livejournal.com

I might eventually because I like Elle and I'm just that curious, but I really couldn't be bothered today. Or tomorrow. Or...yeah, I don't know when. Watching Dexter is so much more fulfilling.

Good luck on your essay. I wish I could say I understand how you feel but I don't have to write essays in my program. Though I think I would chose that over programmation now that I think about it.

Heroes was boring this week so you are not missing a lot. Only few scenes were interesting and probably the little beat box before the show. I do not know if you saw it but its funny, so I am leaving the link in case.

And I haven't realised that you meant Fullmetal Alchemist in japanese untill I searched it on google. And I do have to agree this is the best manga I ever read and the anime was cool too. It is like #1 in my books.

Hehe. Me again. Have you read the new Behind The Eclipse?

I quote:

Stacie is upset about a fallen villain:

“I can't believe that you guys killed off Adam -- he had so much potential story. Is there any chance we will see him again?”

CZ: Fingers crossed we will.

CK: All I can say is, this is “Heroes!”

P.S: Sorry for spamming you comments >_>

First of all, that icon is so funny! DA has the most amusing facial expressions.

Thanks. I don't know a thing about programming myself. It looks really hard and complicated. Though essays at the MA level are like that, too. Your brain is soup at the end of it.

That video is just silly. I wish it were longer.

It's amazing! I'm much more a fan of the manga than the anime, though, so me and one of my friend (who hasn't read the manga) are always fighting about it. I wish Arakawa wrote for Heroes. It'd be the most brilliant show on television if that were the case.

To be entirely, sheepishly honest, I didn't know until now what Behind the Eclipse was. I don't have enough interest in the show anymore. Plus, I have like zero time. *weeps* I still haven't looked at the comics with Claude in them.

I really, really hope that is true, but I've seen similar things about Claude and nothing yet. Though considering the way the show's going, I'm not sure I want Claude in that mess.

Spam all you want. It's a nice break from studying.

When I found the picture I thought it was so good that an icon had to be made! And I think he has a nice neck in that pic. One of my classmates commented that David Anders wasn't pretty when I was seraching for pictures. Bah! She has no taste... I think he is rather handsome and that he is a good actor. I will have to watch Alias someday for his acting skills of course.

What I like about the video is Masi-san trying to act all gangster.
The only time I saw him act silly was in Adrian Pasdar's videos.

For FMA I actually was a fan of anime first. And the anime was so sad and the movie was great too. And then I started reading the manga, I am not far yet but I already can see the differences between anime and manga. The relation ship between the two brothers is really touching! How they stick together and all. And how Ed is feeling all guilty for putting Al in the position he is.
Sniff... And it makes it all sadder if I listen to "Bratya".

It didn't know a thing about Behind the Eclipse myself untill couple of weeks ago. I think we get some answers from the authors sometimes. But I still hope they will bring Adam back! I mean it was useless how they easily disposed of him. Yeah, I hope Claude will be able to avoid the Season 3 mess. Maybe they won't ruin his character then.

Yey for spamming!

He has a nice neck, period. And there's no accounting for taste.

Do watch Alias. The first three seasons are really good and there's so much wonderful Davidness. Plus the lead character's dad is the greatest amoral CIA agent ever (see icon). HRG could be his apprentice.

I love the one where they pretend that one of the makeup people poked him in the eye and he collapses to the floor crying for candy.

I read the manga first, that's why I can't really get into the anime. Al is so OOC during the second half that it drives me nuts. And the villain is so much better in the manga. Up to what point are you? I don't want to spoil anything.

His death was pointless. I'm so sick of hearing people say that it was necessary for Arthur to come back.

From: [identity profile] drakochi.livejournal.com

I'll probably watch it when Christmas Holidays come.
And I haven't read the manga for a while so I don't remember much.

I agree. Last time I launched myself into an one hour rant about how it was pointless for him to die. I think I scared the person I was talking to. >_>
