And it was glorious! Hiro wasn't being a moron. Claude was deliciously snarky. Peter pouted like a good, little puppy, actually using that brain of his. Sylar was killing people because it was his destiny and not because of some stupid hunger bullshit. Bennet had yet to become a cliché. (Granted, I did skip over the Claire scenes, but I'm so tired of seeing her fight with her Dad by now). Why couldn't Heroes have stayed this way? How did it become such an atrocious mess (Adam excluded)? I want the good Heroes back.

agreed! my friend and I just finished up watching (Rewatching) season 1 tonight it really is brilliant. Sylar was awesome and killing I'm just disregarding 90% of what is considered canon in season 3 simply because its that stupid.

I guess people were complaining that season 1 was paced too slow, granted it was at the beginning, however it was vital in order to get us to connect to the characters, now it seems that its going at break neck speeds writing plots for the sake of throwing in rediculous twists while completely ignoring what was established in season 1.

*Sigh* Adam could have saved this trainwreck, but I am sort of looking forward to fugitives.

I've decided to interpret season 3 as crack, though it even fails at that. Sylar is NOT a good guy. He's not "misunderstood". He doesn't "need structure". What the fuck?

Those complaints were about season 2, which was slow to the point of stagnation in some storylines (ie. Claire), but the main problem I had was the total breaking up of old character dynamics (Hiro and Ando, Peter and Nathan), too many new characters, some of which had no connection to anything that was going on and distracted from the old ones, a general stupidity from the characters and some of the storylines (again Claire, also Mohinder and Maya). Of course, they seem to have only paid attention to the "it's too slow" complaint by giving us even more stupid storylines and making everyone act wildly out of character. And also getting rid of the few good things season 2 did have (Adam comes to mind, also sociopath Elle for those that like her, which includes me).

Oh, Adam. *hugs and squeezes him*

Thank you!! I feel the same way, he wasn't bound by rules, he despises the company with a firey passion for what they've done to him. The urge to kill doesn't come from some hunger related to his powers, he was killing well into season 2 without them. And you can't possibly reform someone like that overnight, it would take years! seriously wth show?

But yes that sums it up entirely, it feels like you're watching an entirely different show and not in a good way either.

Everything thus far seems to be caused or related to said characters abilities (concepts such as Sylar's 'hunger' which is just plain stupid) rather than something that was simply part of their personality (i.e his urge to kill and take others powers in order to be special coming from a life where he felt insignificant and small). It made the characters more relateable even if they did have powers and what not. =/

And I'm with you on the stupidity part 100% especially when it comes to Peter and Mohinder in particular.

I hope (with caution) That Vol.4 at least starts to return to the proverbial roots that made season one so great.
