I just saw this at
heroes_tv. I don't buy it. Especially after this:
"I think you'll agree we're really on a roll and we couldn't be more excited about the last four episodes of "Villains"
Uh huh. Sure. He's obviously too in love with his own ego to acknowledge that there might be something wong with his show despite the fact that much of his core audience is furious and the ratings keep dropping. This man is seriously starting to disgust me.

Now don't get me wrong. I liked season 1 heroes. I didn't think it was ground-breaking or highly original, but there was a charm about it, and it had enough characters that I liked that I kept watching.
Season 2 started to show some cracks. The Twins storyline was dreadful, but I forgave as they gave us Adam/Kensei.
However, season 3 just confirmed my worries that they did not actually have a long term plan, and even before they killed off Adam, I was getting worried that they had lost the plot. Nothing since then has done anything to allay that fear. As a matter of fact, I am more convinced than ever, that they have no clue what they are doing.

I really liked season 1 because of the characters, which Kring doesn't appreciate, because he just wants that initial existencial crisis and then to move on. I suspect that that's why he's retconing characters. So then they'll be other people while keeping the same cast.
His game plan was to wrap the story of the S1 characters in the finale, then start S2 with completely new people, but NBC scrapped that when the show became a smash hit (and thus the characters). He's made it clear in interviews, especially the one that this is an apology for, that he resents that move.

I hope ratings are dropping. I'm sure as hell not watching, and I won't be again. They fucked up BIG time. All my friends? Stopped watching too. It makes me feel good. I hope they get a serious ratings drop from last season.

I stopped watching for two weeks, then I only started again become I'm too curious for my good and to see what happened to Peter, who I love. At least they got him back in character. He's honestly the only reason I'm still watching, because even Hiro and Ando are now in some bullshit storyline and the Sylar/Elle retconing is so repulsive that I have to turn away and do something else when they're on. However, since I watch it though alternative means, they're not getting any remuneration from me.

*rolls eyes* Yeesh. I still love the show, but there are so many things in this season that annoy me! Season 1 was definitely the best. I've never really gotten into any kind of fandom war over plots or pairings or whatever, but it doesn't sound like fun. Yeah, I didn't quite realize how attached I was to the show either until they almost killed Ando. That freaked me out a little too much.

The fans are angry, the writers are frustrated and the actors are nervous, don't you think that this would be a sign of 'DOING IT WRONG'? We were promised good things, and I don't honestly think he's followed through with any of them, we were being pandered the entire time. Its like your watching and entirely different show and I don't mean that in a good way at all...
I think I'm only watching because I'm interested in what happens between Matt and Daphne, and Angela is still one of my favorite characters. Unfortunately he continues to bastardize many others- Sylar and Elle together make me ill =/ that whole scene last week made me get up and walk out of the room to do something else for a while until they were done. Blech...

Killing Adam was a bad move from them. He was the only "villan" that did not seem too steriotipical (is that even a word?).
And I just LOVE (not) that it is all about Claire. I'm starting to dislike her character. There is so many wrong things with the show now that I won't even list them.

Yeah, it's a word, except it's spelled like this: stereotypical. English spelling can get weird.
I've disliked her since season 2 when they gae her a stalker boyfriend and rehashed her storyline from season 1.
I love Doctor Who, but Torchwood lost me in s2. The quality was just too uneven for me, plus I really don't like Gwen. She's jsut the type of character that I don't like.

Lately everybody is a Petrelli.
I actually started watching Torchwood before Doctor Who. And Ianto is my favorite character in that one. And I also do dislike Gwen. She is too self centered and always questionning authority. Plus she cheated on her fiance with Owen and then tells Rhys the truth only to retcon him later!
Doctor Who, I actually started to watch it last week. I started with season 4. I think Donna will forever be my favorite compagnion. I'll watch season 3 after I finish the 4th.
I agree english spelling is weird. Like thought, though, and tough, it took me a while to remember the difference between these 3. Sometimes it frustrates me that I can not write as good in english as I can in french. But then I've known french longer than english. And I actually find french someway similar to spanish. Heh!

Soon enough they'll reveal that the entire world is populated with Petrelli's. That guy on the corner? Petrelli. The CEO of some brazilain company? Petrelli. A random factory worker in China? Also Petrelli. As are you! *rabid pointing* You know I was actually afraid they were going to make Hiro one back in season 2 when they reveled Kaito/Angela? I'm still afraid.
I hate how she treats Rhys. I feel so bad for him.
May I strongly recommend that you watch the other seasons in order? You're going to be missing stuff, especially the Doctor's connection with Rose (I'm a total Rose/Doctor fan), which is crucial in the first three seasons, if you don't.
When they regulated the spelling somewhere around the 18th or 19th centuries, I can't remember which, they tried to do it phonetically, but since it'd esssentially been a free for all for so many centuries, too many people had their own contradictory opinions about which spelling matched which pronunciation, so they decided to do it etymologically, though I'm not sure how.

I was going to mention the Kaito/Angela factor in my other post but I don't really want to think about that ... *shivers* I still got to admit that Arthur is a sick person for treating Angela like that for so many years. Too bad she didn't succeed in killing him because of Nathan! It all starts with him! Angela + Nathan coming = not killing Arthur. Arthur not dead + need healing = Dead Adam.
Yeah. I won't cry if Gwen dies in S3 of Torchwood. *fingers crossed*
I think I am going to do that. Start watching Doctor Who in order. I just began with season 4 because I saw stolen earth and journey's end first because of the Torchwood team in there. And then I got curious. I do not know yet who I ship the Doctor with(even though I am lurking in the doctor/donna comm.) but I think he and Donna had a very nice friendship. I can't wait to see the other seasons! Especially since the first is with the 9th doctor. Is he better then the 10th?
English history... something that we do not learn in french schools. Here is all Quebec this , Canada that.
Actually you are still pretty good in french. Not too many mistakes.
But I don't speak France ferech I speak French Canadian french or Quebecois. The quebecois accent is another story... never in my life I'll be able to immitate it. (Not that anyone will want to...)
Though France french is funny.

Depends on who you ask. I think I like them both equally, but then I always find myself rewatching season 1 much more than the others to see Christopher Eccleston, who's fantastic. But I am a CE fangirl, so I admit to being biased.
Back home it's like that, too. Everything is US and Puerto Rico. I feel very awkward here because I'm studying Latin American history and people expect me to know things that we never dealt with. The only war of independence I know about is the US one.
Oh, cool. I basically just did it off the top of my head. I'm so shaky with the verbs now.
