I got one of my essays back today. The grade: 62.
Before anyone freaks out on me, a 62 here does not equal a D. This is actually a good thing. The student handbook says that grades in the 60s "are good" and "represent solid performance" The passing mark is 50. 70s is "distinction". Above that you only get if you're super fantastic. And it was the first one, so I'm still getting practice in. The prof pointed out places where I need to improve, but overall good. So, Yay!
Can you tell I'm tired? laughs all over keyboard*

It did. Apparently I failed to formulate a question, which would have helped geared it, but she said it was well-written. So I know how to focus it now.
