It's like I never left. I even ran into someone I know at the library. Although I only worked at the Latin American collection (where I went today), so it wasn't as nostalgic as it could have been (although I did remember why I don't like that uni when two librarians started talking to each other in the back room as if they weren't perfectly aware that their voices resounded throughout the reading room. How messed up is it that I was seriously considering to tell the librarians to shut up? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

I've been working on the first of two essays due on the twelfth. I plan to hopefully have it done in a week cause otherwise I'm screwed, but with Chirstmas in the middle, who knows? I still have two fat books and two articles to go through. It'll be fine. Oh God, that's my crushes line.

My cough is finally under control (yes, I'm sick again). I went to the doctor yesterday, which cost me $30 since I no longer have insurance here (I should have gone in London), plus $86 in meds (I really should have gone in London).

And of course, since I am now living in the UK and am a huge CE fan, he must be reading ghost stories over the radio when I'm NOT there. Why, CE, why? *cries*

I wish (so much). But you can't resist alliteration.

The research takes me about a week now with all the sources and little details. The writing takes me forever because my mind is in too many places at once. I get distracted too easily.

Yeah, that's it. CE should be on every minute.

You really can't. It's almost as good (bad?) as puns like that.

Yeah, I'm fairly good at getting writing done quickly if I have all the details I need, and also the need. The need has to be pretty darn great, though. Like the paper is due in an hour and it's worth 25% of my grade! Then I can usually bang it out.

CE should just be on television all the time.

The other problem I have is that I always have more info than I need and then I'm picking and choosing. Although last minuteness helps. I wrote a 5,000 word paper in three days once. I could have done it in two, but I got lazy and left the conclusion until the third day. Of course, three days was all the time I had to do it.

I want to buy one of his movies before leaving for London. I won't be able to get Region 1 DVDs until summer, so I'm taking advantage now.

It's that last minute panic that really focuses the mind. Although I rarely gets exceptional papers out of the experience, I do get somewhat decent ones.

Good plan. Do you have 28 Days Later? I just watched it, and was gushing to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] about how I caught a bunch of cool stuff with the commentary on.

That's another reason I'm not leaving them till the last minute this time. The professor who explained the essays went on about the higher expectations that it freaked everyone out.

Oh yeah. I fell in love with that movie since the first time I saw it. I have to listen to these commentaries. I brought the first season of Heroes to do that, but I got stuck rewatching all 3 seasons of Arrested Development. Now I'm indulging in having DirectTV again.
