I bought cheese today. I haven't bought cheese in ages, mostly because I'm always freaking out about fitting into my jeans, but then I looked in the mirror, noticed that I did look rather skinny like my aunt pointed out (she thought I wasn't eating right, confusing me, again, with my cousin), so I evaluated how much fat I was getting in my diet and the verdict is not much. I wasn't even trying. And since I do walk around a lot now, this could fall into the realm of not good, so I decided to indulge and buy cheese. Yes, I realize that other people would have bought ice cream or cake or something, but I don't sweets and I looove cheese, especially the really hard, sharp kind like this Gruyère, which I had to force myself to stop eating. It's sooo good. I think I'll start eating cheese every day again like I did when I was little. My mom always stocked at least five different kinds of cheese at once.

As usual, the kitchen smells funky. I'd never encountered a kitchen that didn't smell at least partly good before.

I'm 468 words into the essay. This one looks like fun, actually. If only I could concentrate and stop going on tangents and stop watching a House episode at every break.

You don't have to justify your love of cheese at all. Cheese is delicious.

Also, my kitchen (at school) always smells weird. And not in a good way. And even after I take out the garbage and wash the dishes and...whatever. Kitchens are weird.

And yay, progress on the essay!

Cheese is yummy.

I think it's the combination of too many canned foods and tv dinners, although sometimes the kitchen smells hellish after someone cooks something, which is extra freaky.

Yay!

Cheese if fabulous. I mean, I love ice cream etc, but on some days I'm not in the mood for sweet and...yeah, I'd go for the cheese first.

Who knows in my apartment. Because it's seriously like...four of us. I never cook. Only one of the others ever really does. And yet still. Ew.

Woo!

Now I have an urge to get another piece of cheese. No, I shouldn't. I don't want to go overboard. Besides, I just had soup. I do miss ice cream, but not enough to get a whole tub and I've been wary ever since they started putting Splenda in the sugar free varieties. That stuff makes me light headed.

You're being haunted by a stink demon. Okay, probably not. But maybe.

Mmm, soup is also good. Seriously on the Splenda? I use it a lot, it's better than using the Sweet'n'low, etc. I wonder what it could be that gives you the light-headeness.

God, I hope not. But I wouldn't doubt it.

I had ice cream with Splenda twice on two different days and both times I got light headed within ten minutes. And I have no known food allergies or anything like that. I really wish the food companies would use something else because now I can't indulge in anything that's too sweet because I'm ether afraid of the sugar (I was put on a low sugar diet when I was little and now I'm paranoid) or it's got Splenda.

There's nothing to be worried about when it comes to cheese. There's so much about it to love.

What kind did you get?

I haven't indulged in cheese nearly as much as I should. I got a Swiss cheese called Gruyère, which is nice and sharp just the way I like it.

Oh, guh - I got some Gruyère a few weeks back, and I ate it straight, without even any bread. So much goodness. It's like chedder's sister or something.

If you can get it, raw-milk cheese, and goat and sheep milk based, are worth the effort to track down.

Oh, I never eat cheese with bread. It dilutes the flavor. I notice that there are a lot of things that I prefer to it by itself without mixing with anything, like french fries.

I'll probably be able to find it here. There are so many cheeses at the supermarket I went to. Though half of them cost 16 pounds and above. They have a regular section and a super expensive gourmet section.
