Rationality has left the building

Today, the assembly that was called up to decide if the strike at my university would finally end or not resulted in those who are for the strike throwing water bottles at those who are against the strike. Then they left because the assembly was supposedly not legitimate. I say they left because those who are against the strike greatly outnumbered them. And this is all supposed to be because the administration didn't hold a proper dialogue over the raise in the tuition. First they complain because there wasn't any dialogue and now they refuse it when the oportunity for one presents itself.

What the hell is going on?
