Title: Forfeit
Summary: James knows he shouldn't want this.
Rating: PG
James knows he shouldn’t want this, knows that he is damned for even thinking it. He can almost see his mother’s disappointed face, the anger in his father’s eyes. He can hear his own voice reading the ship’s articles to the crew, especially that one, that short but so forceful sentence that condems him for giving into what his heart demands, what he can’t deny himself anymore. And if he isn’t already damned for this desire that lives in him, his choice of partner seals his fate. An outlaw, a thief, a common enemy to decency everywhere. James knows what he wants goes against all that he’s been taught, all that he believes in. He knows the path he has chosen ends in a noose.
He knows. He does not care.
For right now, this moment, all he wants to do is grab Jack Sparrow and kiss him until he has no more breath left. And if for this his life is forfeit, then he pays that price gladly.
