I totally did not mean that to happen, but my internet life has been bogged down by job searching, software tutorials, more job searching, how to break into the industry tips, more job searching. It's insane. The is way too much going on and you have to keep on top of it all. And I don't even have a job yet. Which makes me despair a little for when I do. So far, I've learned Excel, have gotten dizzy with Access, am looking into how-to guides for Photoshop before I download the 30 day free trial for their fanciest system so I can cram it all in, and am going to take a class in Final Cut Pro, because the one session we had last night in my Digital Moviemaking class was too overwhelming and there's no other way for me to get access to the software other than pay $999 for the Studio (or get a pirated copy, which would be lovely and is how my instructor has it, because the extortion of these companies is ridiculous. Don't even get me started on the prices of basic film equipment).
I finished my Sound course, so I know how to use the EQ in Soundtrack Pro (yay), but the rest of the software is still a big mass of scary. I'm halfway through Digital Moviemaking, where we're making a short film, halfway through producing, which is intimidating and makes me wonder if I can handle it all and have time to sleep, and started lighting, which is hard as hell.
And I got an interview for an entertainment company downtown, so we'll see how that goes. I'm still checking on the email to make sure I did receive it and didn’t just image it, and yup, it's there.
So that's my update. I haven't done anything fannish in ages, which is sad.
