That was before the $50. No, but the "Banks suck!" thing is still there because I have yet to receive my money from the London bank and that is much more than $50.
I've had so much back and forth with that bank that I don't even want to pick up a phone anymore. Supposedly I've transferred the money, but since their system is different from the US system (much, much more security numbers), so I don't know. It's a whole bunch of BS, really.
HSBC. They did not appreciate my not being able to give them any more numbers other than the account number and the routing number. UK banks have a myriad numbers and codes and words and if you're missing one, you have to reset the whole thing. Which is good for security, but not for UK-US bank relations.
You won't believe it, but that was my first thought; my grandparents had a hell of a time getting their money out of them, and I'm not sure if they ever managed it.
I hope you do get your money; I think they may have been a little more willing to give my grandparents the runaround because they were rather old and, well, maybe they were hoping they would die. But that's just me being cynical.
